Team TobyMac Raises More Than $100,000 for New Hope Academy

TobyMac lead “Team TobyMac,” with more than 70 runners from across the U.S., in the Country Music Half Marathon on April 30th in Nashville, TN,  part of the larger Powered by Hope half marathon team. Team TobyMac brought in more than $100,000 to help support the education provided at New Hope Academy in Franklin, TN. Powered by Hope team members were on a mission to turn racial division, class segregation and spiritual poverty into community, possibility and vision.

Ten days before the run, TobyMac took home his 16th Dove Award as a solo artist when he won “Best Rock Contemporary Album of the Year” for Tonight. He also recently garnered three Billboard Music Award nominations including “Top Christian Artist,"and  “Top Christian Album” while his hit single “Get Back Up” is up for “Top Christian Song.” The annual event will air on ABC live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 22.
